Getting Started

Installing​

Skandage runs natively on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10/11, plus a companion app on iOS. Download the installer for your platform from skandage.com/download and open it.

Activating​

The first screen you'll see asks you to activate the app, either with a subscription or an offline license key — pick whichever matches how you bought it.

Option A: Subscribe​

If Skandage is available as a subscription on your platform, tap Subscribe to Skandage and choose Monthly or Annual (the annual plan is flagged as best value). Payment goes through your platform's own store, so Skandage never sees or stores your card details. Already subscribed on another device? Use Restore Purchases to unlock the app without paying again.

Option B: Activation Key​

If you bought a license key directly, switch to key entry and paste it into the License Key field, then tap Activate Product.

A couple of things worth knowing about how the key works:

  • It's tied to this specific device — generated from your machine's own ID, which is shown on screen so you can quote it to support if something goes wrong.
  • It's checked entirely offline. There's no license server to reach, so activation works even on a machine that's never touched the internet.
  • One key covers one device. Moving to a new laptop means activating there with the same key; if you're not sure whether that's still valid, reach out to support@skandage.com.

First Launch​

Once activated, open Settings and fill in your Agent Profile (display name and agency/organization name) — this is what appears on your Proposal Engine cover pages and printed reports, so it's worth getting right before you generate anything for a client.

From there, head to The Client Vault to bring in your existing book of business.
